ENVIRONMENTs

You can’t love dreaming up fantasy characters, costumes, and creatures without wondering about where they’d live and lurk and roam about, so I took the plunge and began sketching and painting environments. With environments, I like to sketch some conceptual thumbnails before embarking on a series of study sketches assorted by theme- rocks, vegetation, water bodies and such- before returning to the concept and incorporating the studies into it.
